Windows 8 and 8.1 compatibility statement
Windows 8.1 is a service release for Windows 8. Basically despite the different version number, you can consider it to be the service pack update to Windows 8. This means that basic driver and software compatibility to Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 is virtually the same.
We have done extensive tests with Windows 8.1 for all our products that are Windows 8 compatible and we have encountered no issues. It means that unless there is a special note about Windows 8.1, whenever a product description or a driver download refers to Windows 8, it is intended for use under Windows 8.1 as well.
Some newer documents and notes from us only refer to Windows 8.1 and no longer mention Windows 8.
Future driver updates will be both Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 compatible with testing preference given to Windows 8.1. If you use Windows 8, we will always recommend to update at least to Windows 8.1.
