What are the ESP1010 power supply specifications?

ESP1010 can be used with an optional external power supply. This might be needed in case the power from the host computer is not powerful enough to provide the +48V phantom power of the built-in microphone preamp. For that, ESP1010 can be used with an optional standard power supply which is not available from us.

The power supply needs to be regulated and provide between 9V and 15V DC with at least 300mA. The outside (sleeve) of the connector is -, while the inside (tip) is +. The connector diameter is 5.5mm (= 2.2in).

Such a power supply is a standard part that can be purchased via most music or electronic retailers and mail order companies. If you are unsure, print out this page and show it at your local shop.
