Headphone output of GIAPORT HD/HD+

We often get asked about the output signals the headphone output of our GIGAPORT HD or GIGAPORT HD+ is sending out. There are two headphone outputs (available as a 1/8" connector on GIGAPORT HD and 1/4" connector on GIGAPORT HD+).

The output labeled Mix sends out a mix of all output channels (1/2, 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8). This makes it good for headphone monitoring in a typical recording setup, but it might be a limitation in many DJ setups.

The output labeled 1/2 instead sends out the same signal as line output channel 1/2, making it independent from channels 3 to 8. This is great if you want to use GIGAPORT HD or GIGAPORT HD+ in a computer DJ setup without the use of an external DJ mixer or a separate headphone amplifier as it provides one stereo channel pair for prelistening via headphones.
