Is Windows XP Professional x64 supported?

No. Our development focus is on supporting the important popular mainstream operating systems such as the regular 32-bit version of Windows XP as well as Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit), Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) and of course Mac OS X (incl. the 64-bit variants of Snow Leopard and Lion). This is something that can also generally be said about the majority of vendors developing professional audio software, which explains why there are very few native 64-bit audio applications available that are fully supported under Windows XP Professional x64.

If 64-bit operation is essential for you, then we strongly suggest an upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit or at least Windows Vista 64-bit. Both operating systems provide much better performance and especially compatibility to various drivers and especially to common software applications. Also if you are using Mac OS X, you don't need to worry about 64-bit compatibility with any of our supported products.

Even though we provide beta drivers for some of our PCI interfaces for Windows XP x64 and some of our Windows Vista/7 drivers can actually be installed under this operating system, ESI will not do any further development for Windows XP x64 and we will not provide any technical support for users of this operating system.
